I humbly suggest new blogs named "Come On, Ohio!" and "Smash Through to Victory."

in our defense, we really wanted to name our site after Francis Schmidt, since Close the Gates of Mercy, in our humble view, is the least utilized rally cry of awesomeness in Buckeye lore and must be used more often. After all, we should be running up the score on a lot more people if at all possible. The URI would've been too long, though, and closethegates.com, a shorter option, was already registered.

How about leeching some blog names from an under-utilized song like Round on the Ends. All the world must know that our state is round on the ends and hi in the middle, tell me if you know. Don't you think that's a cute little riddle? Round on the ends and hi in the middle?

Sorry, I just love that song.

Make no mistake

I wasn't criticizing. I like the name, and I like that we as fans know school songs well enough to catch references like "Our Honor Defend." One of the underrated parts of being a Buckeye fan is the music. "Buckeye Battle Cry," "Across the Field," "Carmen Ohio," and that's just the big ones.

The blog name I'm holding out for is "We Don't Give a Damn for the Whole State of Michigan."

Buckeye fans certainly do have a rich musical tradition to enjoy and from which to repurpose beloved phrases into blog titles. I actually get a minor thrill anytime I can understand the reference being made in a blog's title. Here are some other sections of great Buckeye songs that I think could make great blog titles:
