Semesters...at Ohio State?
This Doug Lesmerises blurb points out how President Gee's desire to move to semesters could end up helping the basketball team's APR but at the same time take away the football team's month of football before school (which may also mean larger season ticket packages for students).

Semesters seems like a no-brainer
Not just (or even primarily) from an athletics standpoint, but from the students’ perspective. Plenty of good internships and summer jobs are gone by the time OSU students get out for the summer. Companies in Columbus tend to have openings in mid-June, since OSU is a huge university and whatnot, but competing for a major internship with a big company is difficult when the job starts two weeks before you’re done with classes. It’s got to be a tough change for the university, but I think it’s one worth making.
